In memories...

they made my days of playing the clarinet for SYF.therefore,I treasure them in my heart.

High-pitched AMALINA!(i just finished crying.so my eyes got baggy.eew)

I woke up, its 6th April 2009.

That just means, SYF Central Judging.

I went to school feeling mentally and practically prepared.I was ready.Ready for everything. I even made my choice.

To take my 2.4 km retest on P.E lesson.

Flag-raising just kept me waiting for the time to go fast. I was excited. nervous at times. The bell rang for P.E. My stomach churned.Butterflies were in it. I had to run.

I got 16:57 for my timing.Really proud of it.

The bell rang again. Time to go. My stomach churned real hard. But I wasn't scared. Me and Natasha arrived FIRST outside the band room. Another bell rang and the other band members arrived.I was sweating.People kept asking me,thinking that I showered. Especially that Alysa. Yeah.come smell more of me. LOL.

Before going to the band room, I received alot of good luck wishes from my friends and classmates. Mrs Chee came.we warmed and tuned up.everything was fine. I was confident. We ran through both our pieces a few times. Lunch, changed and ate. Went up, took our stuffs and down to the porch. Waited for our bus. Still, I wasn't scared.We got on our bus.polished all the way. Singapore Conference Hall it is. My stomach began churning.As hard as ever. As if that was the last time its gonna do that on me.We went in. facing some other schools in their elegant band uniform.All ready to perform.Some looked stressed.Some excited.To the tuning room we went.I didn't feel scraed.quite astonishing eh. We were ready.up we went.waiting for the band before us to finish performing.there was a video of them.LIVE,performing just inside and behind the door.while waiting,we kept our instruments warm.My stomach churned.The band before us finished.We were queing up to go through the door when i felt like pee-ing. Must it be that time?! Stimach churned! Hands sweaty.shivering.got inside. I played.trying to recall whatever there is needed to recall.we made it.finished.went outside and waited.the other band finished.we went in to watch the other bands perform.It was Tanjong Katong Sec. They were good.very good.and the snare drummer looks cute too ^^ heeh.okay stop.

it was break time.we went back to our school.i slept in the bus.dreamt of food.and more food.arrived at school.settled down and packed our stuffs.oh that was the last time i'll be touching the clarinet number 47. we did alot of things.together as a band.the time came.

we were listening to our recording.it was good. Wei Liang settled us down.took out his phone.there was a video. it was a video call.from someone there in the SCH. the results are out.

we huddled together.holding anyone's hands that we could hold. i was scared.excited.and nervous.i cried.well.silently.then

Band No 108. Boon Lay Secondary School. Silver.

I couldn't quite hear the word silver.since the back people screamed like no tomorrow.

i cried harder than ever. we got SILVER. what most of us have been wanting.to achieve our silver back.we did it.

i knew we could

we were good. After all those tiring practices we've done, Its all worth it. All the tears were tears of joy

WE DID IT! we managed to fulfill our goals. And now, we just have to say farwell to all those graduating members and i'll have to say

"goodbye,farewell and thank you to the clarinetists of BLCB 2009 SYF batch!"

i'll be going back to saxophone.no more of clarinetists utter nonsense.it ends today.

and anyway. i kept my clarinet SYF reed i used for SYF just now. Just for memories of being a clarinetist for awhile.
